Step 7

Enable the motor’s Bluetooth radio. Set your phone aside while completing these steps. Every EP Carry has a Bluetooth radio that can be enabled for programming.

Important: Make sure the safety key is removed from the throttle before connecting the battery to the motor.

  • Put the knob in the Off position, insert the magnetic key, and remove it.
  • Move the knob to Full Throttle, insert the magnetic key, and remove it.
  • Put the knob in Full Reverse, insert the magnetic key, and remove it.

A replacement knob is available from EP Carry. For help, call (425) 502-5232 or email info@electricpaddle.com.

Prior firmware versions did not allow the use of 12 V batteries because they cannot provide enough voltage for full-power operation. This version allows 12 V operation for emergencies, but at a much-reduced power level. To access full power from a 12 V battery, EP Carry sells a 12 V boost kit.
